What is the purpose of a silence retreat?
My main focus in silent retreats is for participants to find deep silence within themselves. What is valuable is to understand that silence lives deeply within our own being. In this way, we can experience our own inner voice, deep intimacy and healing.
What do you think about the power of intention in meditation practice and in life, and how can we intend effectively?
That's a very good question. Meditation is about finding that space inside us that never changes. The outside world is always changing, our physical bodies are always changing. When we understand that, we begin to understand the importance of intention. In the beginning of my path, my intention was more about accepting what is, finding contentment with my life. I stayed with that intention for a long time, focusing on learning what spiritual contentment is about. Learning how to be with my fears, breathing through them, and letting them go.
What is the hidden reason behind our fundamental dissatisfaction? And can you give us a tip to overcome it?
I think that humanity is hungry for something deeper and intimate, and that we don’t know what that is. We want more and more from the outside world. The real need is to feel the depth of our own essence, the depth of our authentic being.
How can we deal with obstacles in meditation?
Meditation can bring up fear, anger and tensions, that you were not aware existed within you. One of the purposes of meditation is to bring these unresolved emotions to the surface. Let them surface so they can be healed. Using the breath is one of the most fundamental tools of all ancient traditions. It provides us with an experience that unites body, mind, and spirit.
How are the retreats in Turkey?

Is there a quote that inspires you?
A quote by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj: “When I look inside and see that I am nothing, that is wisdom. When I look outside and see that I am everything, that is love. And between these two, my life flows.”
